When you visit our website, various data, including personal data, will be collected. We treat your personal data (as defined in Art. 4 (1) GDPR) as confidential and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations. This present data protection declaration explains which data we collect, what we use them for and also how and for which purposes this is done. This is done first and foremost in order to enable you comfortable and safe access to our information and offers. We do, of course also pursue economic interests with our web presence, with the aid of which we intend to strengthen both our image and our turnover. For reasons of fairness and transparency, we are glad to inform you about this extensively in the following in the spirit of the EU-GDPR (European General Data Protection Regulation):

How do we collect your data?

Your data are on the one hand collected automatically when you visit the website by the IT systems used. These are primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of calling up the site). The data are collected automatically as soon as you access our website. Other data are collected by way of you providing them to us. They may, for example, be data that you enter in a contact form.

What do we use your data for?

Some of the data are collected in order to guarantee the error-free provision of the website. We shall be explaining further details pertaining hereto in the following sections.

TLS Encoding

For security reasons and in order to protect the transmission of confidential content such as orders or inquiries that you send us as the operator of the site, this site uses TLS encoding. You recognise an encoded connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol that appears in your browser line. When TLS-encoding is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by any third parties.

Data Collection on our Website

Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These serve the purpose of making our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are text files that are stored in the browser on your terminal device.
Cookies do not inflict any harm on your computer and do not contain any viruses. One differentiates between so-called “Session Cookies” and “Persistent Cookies”. The first named are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until such time as they expire or are deleted. These cookies make it possible to recognise your browser on your next visit and to apply the settings you made previously to you again. You may set your browser in such a way that you are informed as to the placing of cookies and permit this only in an individual case, exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases as a general rule and also activate the automatic deletion of the cookies upon the browser being closed. Should cookies be deactivated, this may restrict the functionality of this website.
Session cookies that are necessary for the implementation of the electronic communication procedure are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Inasmuch as other cookies (e.g. for the analysis of your surfing conduct) are stored, these are treated separately in this data protection declaration.

Server Log Files

The provider of our website collects and stores information automatically in so-called server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. The data contained in the log files include:

The storage period is 7 days. These data shall not be merged with data from any other sources.

The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR, which permits that processing of data for the ideal presentation and safety of the website of the basis of our legitimate interest.
Visitors’ Interaction with the Website
Contact Form
When you send us inquiries using our contact form, the details you provide on that form, including the contact data entered by you, are stored with us for the processing of the inquiry and for the event that there might be follow-up questions. We do not forward these data to any third parties without your consent.

As a general rule, the processing of the data entered on the contact form is effected on the legal basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b GDPR (initiation or implementation of a contract). Your data shall remain with us until such time as you demand their deletion or the purpose for which the data have been stored lapses (e.g. once the processing of your inquiry has been concluded). Should we be required to observe statutory retention periods, we shall delete the data after these have expired.

Payment Services Providers

Maestro, Visa, MasterCard, American Express
When you effect payment by way of credit card, the transaction is handled by the payment services provider: Payone. The data necessary for this (credit card number, validity and verification number) are forwarded encoded to that provider and are not visible to the website operator. The electronic payment method by credit card is PCI-DSS certified and offers the customer the greatest possible degree of data security.

PayPal

On our website we offer, inter alia, the possibility of paying via PayPal. The provider of this payment service is PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter “PayPal”).
If you select payment via PayPal, the payment data you enter will be transmitted to PayPal.
The transmission of your data to PayPal is effected on the basis of Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b GDPR (Contractual Implementation).

Data Protection Declaration regarding our Facebook Presence
The aims of our Facebook site are
direct contact to our online visitors with the aim of gaining customers and their loyalty and the offer of contemporary communication channels connected there with, pointers to our contributions and offers, statistical analyses for our own market research purposes.

According to Art. 6 (1) f GDPR, the usage of this social media channel is in our legitimate interest. It is nonetheless important to us to inform you transparently regarding those matters of relevance to data protection for which we actively bear co-responsibility.
When you visit our Facebook site, Facebook registers, inter alia, your IP address and other pieces of information that are available on your terminal device in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us as the operator of the Facebook site with statistical information pertaining to the availment being made of our site. Should you wish to avoid this, sign out from Facebook or suppress the function remain signed on and configure your browser in such a way that cookies are not placed or are deleted after a short while. Analysis Tools

Matomo

This website uses the Open Source Software Matomo in order to measure our striking distance. Matomo is configured in such a way that no cookies are placed on the computer. Instead of that, we use so-called fingerprinting in order to analyse the conduct of our visitors for the purpose of optimising our web offer. This is our legitimate interest as the website operator (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR).
The fingerprint consists of the operating system, browser, device type (computer, laptop, telephone), monitor resolution and set language, in order to understand the usage and navigation on our sites. The IP address is anonymised directly upon being registered. Thanks to the aforementioned measures we are not able to draw any conclusions whatsoever as to the identities of individual visitors. The information collected is not transmitted to any third parties, as we host Matomo ourselves. The storage period is: 12 months.

Legal Bases and Purposes of the Processing of Your Data:
The EU-GDPR, Art. 6 (1) a), permits us to process your data on the basis of your consent for certain defined purposes, e.g. subscription to our newsletter.
The EU-GDPR, Art. 6 (1) b), encompasses the data processing that is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract (contract for the provision of accommodation) and for pre-contractual measures.
The EU-GDPR, Art. 6 (1) c), permits us to process your data on the basis of a legal obligation, e.g. registration form (Sections 30 & 31 BMG (Federal Registration Act)) or on the basis of retention requirements under financial and fiscal law.
Art. 6 (1) f) EU-GDPR permits us to process your data should we or a third party have a legitimate interest in said processing and should your interests, basic rights or basic freedoms not oppose this, e.g. for:

Once the purpose for which they are processed has lapsed and the statutory retention periods have expired, your personal data will be deleted. As a general rule, retention periods of between 6- and 10 years apply to companies.

Should storage be on the basis of consent given by you, we shall delete your personal data when you revoke said consent.
Recipients of your Personal Data:
Within our company, only those employees who require your personal data in order to fulfil their duties shall be granted access to said data to the extent required for those purposes.
Service providers deployed by us may receive your data in order to fulfil the purposes described, should these fulfil the confidentiality requirements under data protection laws.
